Cornerstones

The Cornerstones! The Cornerstones at First Church is a group which is not easily defined, yet is a group who loves to have fun! The Cornerstones consists of those who are empty-nesters, retired or over 50 and just enjoy life! Periodic trips, events and socials are planned for this vital part of the First Church Family.

Prior to modern construction, builders would establish one corner of the building site to be the measure and foundation by which the rest of the structure was built. Since this corner was vital to the strength and duration of the rest of the building, a sturdy, solid stone was placed here as the pivotal foundation upon which to build.
First Church recognizes the strength of the "seasoned saints" who have been the "cornerstones" upon which the church is built. Periodic social events are planned to bring this vital group of First Church together for special times of fellowship.
