The goal
of Expressions of Praise, Jr. Expressions of Praise, and Silent
Praise is to reach our community through acting, dowel rods, skits,
dramas, and sign language. With a variety of dowel rod performances,
skits, sign language interpretation, and mime, there is something
for every age, race, and ethnic background. Both Expressions of Praise teams practice hard and do an awesome job at performing the songs given to them. It is just amazing to watch as the teams work together for the good of the kingdom of God. Now we are adding Silent Praise, a sign team, to the mix. Expressions of Praise is for adults and young adults and young adults from the age of 12 up to whenever you think you need to stop. We have been working together for 3 years now and we are growing in knowledge of sign language and different things. Our goal is to be able to sign services as they are being preached so that the deaf community can be reached through First Church. Our Jr. Expressions of Praise team is from age 3-11. They are so much fun to work with. It is an honor to be able to watch these children fall in love with this ministry. We began in January 2007 and helped with the Easter drama. These children are awesome. Our Silent Praise team is for ages 18 and up. This team will be used for interpreting services as well as songs. We will also be getting involved in outreach to the deaf community. I hope you take the opportunity to check our teams out. I guarantee you will get a blessing out of it.
