Prior to modern construction, builders would establish one corner of the building site to be the measure and foundation by which the rest of the structure was built. Since this corner was vital to the strength and duration of the rest of the building, a sturdy, solid stone was placed here as the pivotal foundation upon which to build.

First Church recognizes the strength of the "seasoned saints" who have been the "cornerstones" upon which the church is built. Periodic social events are planned to bring this vital group of First Church together for special times of fellowship.

A Cornerstone member @ First Church recognized as one who has either retired or whose children have left the nest. The only other prerequisite is a willingness to have fun!!

C'mon and join the wildest bunch around! The Cornerstones!!
